According to the American Veterinary Dental Society, more than 85 percent of dogs and cats show signs of oral disease by age four.
Some signs to look for are:
*Bad Breath
*Tarter buildup on the teeth
*Swollen, receding or bleeding gums
*Fractured or abscessed teeth
*Change in eating habits
If you notice any of these signs make sure to get your pet looked at by a veterinarian. Your pet may need a professional dental cleaning.
Luckily there are some simple actions that you can take to ensure your pet has good oral health.
